Hello and happy Thursday! We’re feeling extra good this morning because we’ve recently fallen back in love with an old friend and his name is DJ Rasoul! More specifically a classic jam by Rasoul called “Let Me Love You.” This funky little number has found its way back to the top of our playlist this week and we thought it very wise indeed to spread the love. “Let Me Love You” is essential in any and all archives for its penetrating funk and the nature of its sentiment. Instantly, we’re being introduced to some fast-paced drums and what sounds like a single chord off a guitar sample, looped throughout. These elements, coupled with a smooth bass injected a minute into the song, present the makings of a spirited atmosphere. The thought of skipping this track it is not even an option, especially once those sweet, sweet vocals come in. Personally, we think these are the kinds of ingredients that makes DJ Rasoul’s track so memorable and most of all, passionate. “Let Me Love You” brings back sugary memories of those very well-spent nights that we hope to remember for the rest of our lives. “I want to love you until the morning comes” assures featured vocalist Shanan, as she cuts her way deep into your most intimate moments. Is it getting hot in here or is it just us? Let’s move on.
DJ Rasoul is an American producer, who has been making waves with his music since the early 90s. “Let Me Love You” was released in 1999 and has proven to be a timeless song almost 20 years later. The track will live on long after the morning comes, and for once, we can’t wait till it does.
