It’s always refreshing to meet great people and listen to even better music. There’s nothing like unexpected happenings, and here at Raver Rafting, we’re eternally grateful for them. This week on Past to Present we’ve got a timeless track coined “Lovelee Dae” by New Jersey based duo, Blaze. Expected or not, this track was bound to make an appearance. So let’s get to it.
Released in 1997, “Lovelee Dae” displays a classic house groove coupled with boundless amounts of soul. From start to finish, Blaze does an exceptional job at creating mood-enhancing beats and shoulder-stirring vibes. Comprised of Josh Milan and Kevin Hedge, Blaze is a dynamic duo that has been producing house music for over 20 years and has seen an incredible amount of success. “Lovelee Dae” is played by DJ’s everywhere as an ode to life and a promise to always look forward, no matter what. There’s different ways in which life throws things at you to remind you that not everything is going to complete shit. Like being seated next to an authentic person on an otherwise lonely flight, or unexpectedly listening to a song that will forever change the way you hear music. Whatever it is, and however it comes; If it looks good, feels good, and sounds good– then life’s good. Even if its only for a few minutes.
Always expect the unexpected, and remember, you’re never alone in a world filled with interesting people and sensational music.
