Patrick Reza independently released a brand new EP today in an effort to break boundaries and test if he can succeed as a musicians without the backing of a major label. This is a bold move and a choice that I deeply respect. Reza is a very talented artist, I think that his creativity in the studio works seamlessly with his spark behind the decks.
“The Woods” EP is a perfect example of his fresh, up-and-coming flavor. It’s composed of four records, “Ritual”, “Prey”, “The Woods”, and “Tribes”. This entire work should wash away any claim surrounding the stigma that “dubstep is dead”. Up until now all of Reza’s releases have been free, so if you’re a fan of his musical visions – and can spare a few bucks – support his “The Woods” EP by purchasing it on iTunes.
“I’m releasing this EP independently using tunecore (no labels are involved in the release of this EP whatsoever). I’ve given almost all my music up until this point for free and I would really appreciate it if all of you that can afford to buy my album do so as all the funds go into my career and endeavors in continuing my lifelong dream of becoming a musician/producer. I understand times are very tough for some of you and I can completely understand that some of you have to get your music from other outlets, but for those of you that can afford it I’d be immensely grateful if you would buy my upcoming EP. I put well over 500+ hours into this EP and I really want to see if I as a musician can break boundaries by releasing independently, without big labels backing my projects. I sincerely appreciate the amazing support you all give and show me. You are the reason I keep going. I love you all.” – Patrick Reza
