Philadelphia based singer-songwriter Patty Crash has been making her splash on the rap and pop-electro scene since she quit her job in 2004 to pursue music. Originally from Iceland, she moved to America as a young girl and was later kicked out of school as a teenager. As many of us know, school is simply not for everyone. Determined as ever, Crash would pursue her dream of making music and already has several of her vocals featured on tracks by The Roots, Tyga, and Gym Class Heroes. Her ability to both rap while also catering to pop tracks gives Crash sounds similar to that of Nicki Minaj or Kesha.
Just days ago Crash’s collaboration with producer Kronic was released on Sup Girl records. Pictures is the catchy track that contains bubbly, upbeat lyrics accompanied by a seemingly future bass instrumental. It’s a fresh mix to the sometimes constant saturation in both pop and and electronic. A fusing of genres separates this burst of fresh air from any other track being released right now. Give it a listen and you’ll be humming the ever addictive chorus long after the track finished. We look forward to hearing more from these talented producers.
