It’s hard to describe Pegboard Nerds, for one main reason: Their talent and potential is so uncontainable that words doesn’t do the group justice. Every track that Pegboard Nerds touches is highly cared for, brilliantly constructed, and carries wild-but-relatable hooks and melodies. Their newest collaboration with NYC-group, MisterWives, proves their production standards have only increased.
“Coffins” starts off with a soothing oriental melody followed by an explosion of bass and vocals brought to you by MisterWives’: Mandy Lee. The overall beat is simple, easy on the ears, and features tons of subtle sounds throughout the track, allowing the music to seemingly seep into both the conscience and sub-conscience. Overall, “Coffins” is very original, very real, and a great, free Christmas present to all!
