The alias of Phil Good has just begun and already there is much hype around it, his last single “Sleeping In” got well over a million plays across streaming channels, proving, not just by sound alone, that this artist is not your typical indie-pop / electronic concept.
Phil Good leaves “Sleeping In” with a descriptor of his mindset behind the song: “I wanted this song to be heavier and darker than I’ve ever gone before, both musically and lyrically. I think Growing Up captures that feeling of restlessness and insanity that occurs when you’re trying to get over something or someone, but your mind and your body are fighting you back as hard as they can. I’m extremely happy with how this song turned out and I can’t wait to play it live.”
