Update: Porter Robinson and Madeon have uploaded “Shelter” to Spotify.
“Shelter,” the very highly anticipated collaboration between Porter Robinson and Madeon leaked earlier today. The tune appeared on iTunes, but was quickly taken off – from there, the tune has been spreading like wildfire.
Porter and Madeon’s common bond musically is the soft, animated sounds they individually incorporate into their brands. “Shelter” is a fascinating balance of the two styles combined. “Shelter” conveys an overall experience of genuine, thought-provoking lyrics and introverted chord progressions. I’m sure several remixes are already on their way, this one’s a gem and won’t be disappearing anytime soon.
