I woke up this morning and it was warm; new it was going to be a great day! From Lost Kings to The Chainsmokers to Nervo, big and small DJs alike dropped a collection of truly amazing and inspiring sounds to greet you into the first week of March. Enjoy some of our favorites in house, bass, any everything in-between.
Halsey – Ghost (Lost Kings Remix)
Lost Kings are known for their ground-breaking progressive house sound, but let’s not forget these two went full chill/deep house on a Sonic Boom mix. Point being, these dudes go with what’s good for them, regardless of genre constraints. “Ghost (Lost Kings Remix)” is another release fits in the world of music that works for Lost Kings.
The Brig – Megalomania
The Brig has a great way of expressing a signature sound while going buck-wild on a track. “Megalomania” encompasses just this, pulling together massive dubstep drops with snippets of moombahton drums and cut up hip-hop vocals. The pirate themed DJ won’t be leaving my radar anytime soon.
Synchronice & Kasum – Glorious (OLWIK Remix)
Download “Glorious (OLWIK Remix)”
“OLWIK completely transforms the Kasum / Synchronice collaboration, “Glorious,” in the most fitting way, adding a series of beautiful and organic additions. All in all, “Glorious (OLWIK Remix)” goes big with a huge progressive sound that captures the heart and mind of the listener.
Afika NX – Rat Tat Tat (Gazzo Remix)
Download “Rat Tat Tat (Gazzo Remix)
Is there any genre Gazzo won’t remix? Gazzo’s infectious house sound, similar to the upbeat vibes of Cash Cash, is reaching vasts audiences within non-EDM audiences with “Rat Tat Tat (Gazzo Remix.)”
The Chainsmokers – Let You Go Ft. Great Good Fine OK
Dishing out another solid vocal track, The Chainsmokers’ have released “Let You Go” a radio-friendly dance track, that blends traditional instrumentals with subtle production effects and a couple not-so-subtle drops.
Ellie Goulding – Love Me Like You Do (ALMOND & SAMME Remix)
Download “Love Me Like You Do (ALMOND & SAMME Remix)”
ALMOND last remix was in the top ten on HypeM, definitely hoping to see the same results for ALMOND’s latest collab-creation with SAMME. “Love Me Like You Do (ALMOND & SAMME Remix)” slows the vibe and get’s straight epic; featuring huge drums, drops, and a tornado of mystical and cloudy effects.
Karma Fields – Build The Cities (feat. Kerli)
A group brand new to the Monstercat family, Karma Fields, has delivered an intense and dark original “Build The Cities (feat. Kerli)” as their first release on the Canadian bass label. The music speaks for itself with of 40K plays, unique musical themes, and full-sounding mixing and mastering.
Sia – Elastic Heart (Kid Arkade Remix)
In case you don’t know, Kid Arkade has talent, a great team, and has signed to Ultra Music. Need I say more? WRR received an exclusive quote from Kid Arkade about his feeling behind his latest masterpiece “Elastic Heart (Kid Arkade):” ‘I’ve grown up obsessed with Zero 7 and especially loved their track Destiny (featuring Sia), which is where I first heard her voice. Every time I listen to Elastic Heart it takes me back on a Nostalgia trip with Sia’s unique voice and it was a joy being able to work with this superb song of hers. It makes me feel sentimental with a sense of yearning, as well as wanting to bounce around like a maniac when it drops.’
NERVO – It Feels
Focusing on softer vibes, the Nervo twins flex their wings in 2015. “It Feels” truly is a feelsy track that has a progressive core, heart-melting vocals, and subtle trance elements swirled together brilliantly.
5 And A Dime – Pipes (Original Mix)
With bouncy furiousity and a pulsing beat, 5 & A Dime shows off what he’s about in 2015. “Pipes” showcases some of the hottest house sounds that have been popping up this year. If this is OG 5AAD, then I want more.
