Per usual, our favorite releases from this week have been scooped up and placed here. No genre barriers, no rules, just good dance music showcased, week by week, as the world watched dance music evolve.
VASKI – Pacific Ft. Anna Yvette
After Vaski’s remix of “Lazer Love,” which recieved well over 1 million plays, the world was wondering what would come next. With stunning percision and excellent music theory, Vaski drops “Pacific Ft. Anna Yvette,” combining unique production versus with key changes and cloudy vocal accommpanyment from the likes of Anna Yvette.
Calvin Harris – How Deep Is Your Love (Cignature Remix)
Cignature has contributed and excelled the melodic house/chill house movement more than most. There are alot of questions flying around if Audien is or isn’t Cignature, Audien denies it, but clearly knows who it is. “How Deep Is Your Love (Cignature Remix)” shows off a more energetic, more electro-house-like side that Cignature hasn’t shown off much before.
Element – Daydream (ft. Jack Forster)
You may think this would be a select for Unwind The Mind, but “Daydream,” created by Element and Jack Forester’s drop goes hard in the paint. The tune shoots out pulsating melodies, within the drop, that are truly trippy – a refreshing combination of smooth and lively.
Daktyl & Madeaux – Here ft. Anais Aida
Mixing the old with the new, Daktyl & Madeaux take trippy oldie organ melodies, mash it with various tempo styles, and churn out a unique trap song that feels like know other. Daktyl & Madeaux, we salute you.
Muzzy – Calling Out (feat. KG & Skyelle)
Getting good clean, epic, dazzling drum & bass, with a bit of a liquid feel for bonus, is rare these days. Muzzy knocks it out of the park with his Monstercat release “Calling Out,” which will be calling out to your favorites playlist as soon as it touches your ears.
Cut Snake – Echo (Snøwmass Remix)
With a hypnotizing, yet energetic feel, Snøwmass drops another remixed single “Echo,” by Cut Snake. The drop fully captured me, showcasing a mix of ambient and deep/classic house elements. Snøwmass isn’t slowing down anytime soon, look for more releases soon.
Savoy – Love Is Killing Me (feat. Chali 2na)
It’s been a while, but Savoy will be releasing a new EP soon called 1000 Years, Savoy has always had super strong branding and themes within the music they release, to tease their EP, Savoy has dropped “Love Is Killing Me (feat. Chali 2na,)” which shows the new visual universe Savoy is about to introduce us.
Justin Caruso Ft. Angelika Vee – What Do You Mean (Justin Bieber Cover)
Wow. This went in a direction I couldn’t of anticapted. With almost drum-and-bass like intensity, Justin Caruso and Angelika Vee cover “What Do You Mean” in a truly original way which separates this tune from the flood of artists trying to capitalize on covers right now.
