This year is almost up, kind of hard to believe, happened fast! This week’s favorites come from every corner of dance music most powerful and unique. Oldie remakes, original, remixes and more take the stand in the Powerful Picks. Enjoy below.
Don Diablo – I’ll House You feat. Jungle Brothers (VIP Mix)
Don Diablo’s remake of this Jungle Brothers tune went huge last month. Now he’s dropped a VIP that takes the bass house to the next level. Remaking the tune (officially), Don Diablo has really done Jungle Brothers justice, making a brand new original around the classic vocal sample.
Zack Martino, Reggio & Malik Bash – The March (Original Mix)
“The March” is one of the trippiest songs on this list. Released just in time for the new Star Wars movie. Zack Martino, Reggio & Malik Bash make a truly entertaining electro track that’s dark, substantial, and vivid. There’s nothing generic about this tune, it’s pure enhancements overall on the Star War vibe.

EGZOD – Marianne
There are few artists who have sounds that stand out. EGZOD accomplishes this through mind-blowing musical construction, great hooks and melody, and an atmosphere that the common man can relate to. With phenomenal energy and creativity, Egzod presents “Marianne,” which layers drummer boy-style war-time music with popular bass elements of today.
Kompany – Besiege
“Besiege” has one of the eeriest intros on the list, followed up by massive drops that get straight to the point. Trap and dubstep are sort-of becoming one, Kompany’s “Besiege” put the best of both into one track while adding a layer of darkness to it.
EC Twins – Raggatron
EC Twins have turned their sound around in 2015. Before, their focus was on semi-overdone banger house music, but the latter half of 2015 has showcased a more dynamic catalog from duo. The newest addition to this experimental side is “Raggatron,” a jungle themed tune which blends tribal themes with a raging basslines, released on Brooklyn Fire.
Migos – Look at My Dab (DJ MUSTARD X 4B Remix)
Everybody’s ’bout the Dab. DJ MUSTARD and 4B put a very heavy trap spin on the song, packed full of bubbly percussion and sick drops. 4B in particular has been on the rise this year, this remix is another dope example of why.
Gaddy – H.E.R.
Gaddy takes the vibe down a notch wit a glitchy-spiritual journey that’s is well worth the ride. “H.E.R.” surrounds you with flutes, background effects, and a bass beat that easy to jam to. Gaddy is just getting his start, but more is coming very soon.
Grabbitz – Better With Time
Better With Time EP is melodic, energetic, heavy, and is packed full of unique cinematic moments that make it an experience all it’s own. It was the poppy “Better With Time” single that grabbed my attention and really moved me. Grabbitz is moving fast, Better With Time marks this moment in his career with great music theory.
KRNE x Alexander Lewis – Grim
“Grim” is a futuristic trap experience that isn’t like any other. Many percussion elements featured within a sound, a sound that is like something Bassnectar would drop. “Grim” is some of the best heart and soul put into a trap track I’ve heard in a while. KRNE & Alexander Lewis, please sir, I want some mo’.
