Club-trap, progressive, heavy bass; artists who are rising, artists who are huge, and all in-between, make their way onto Powerful Picks this week. Festival season is booming, lineups are coming out by the minute it seems. The cluster fuck of endless talent and music consumption continues! Enjoy our picks below.
NGHTMRE – Holdin’ On To Me (Blvk Sheep Remix)
Coming off hot from his last release, Blvk Sheep is one of the quickest rising stars in the club-trap game. He recently won a NGHTMRE/Boombox Cartel remix, headlined a show, and is now releasing his more melodic side, a remix of NGHTMRE’s “Holdin’ On To Me.” This dude is young and going places, dive in deep with this one.
Mike Hawkins feat. Disfunk & Oisin – Follow
Leaning more toward the progressive / disco / electro side of things, Mike Hawkins releases a new tune “Follow” that has quite a pop. From start to finish the tune has original- feel good moments that make the vibe strong and replayable. Mike launched this tune with a bang, scoring a Billboard.com premiere. Believe when we say Mike Hawkins will be souring in 2016.
No Funks Given – Geeked Up
A song that knows no limits is “Geeked Up.” The ultra high rhythm and fast pace drums make heads turn. Video game music, bass, and much more link together to make this tune what it is. This is the California duo’s first release, but they’re just getting started.
KANDY & TITUS – DOUBETTER
Continuing his success, KANDY has paired himself with a great artist, TITUS, that fits unique parts of both of their styles well. “DOUBETTER” truly mixes many popular genre styles together into an eclectic ball of energy that’s sort of hard to describe, but works. The artwork, the artists’s other singles beyond this one – all of it is worth a listen as these two break new ground in the scene.
The Chainsmokers ft. Daya – Don’t Let Me Down (Jenaux Remix)
Wow, live instrumentation and alot more come together to make a magical twist on a group we all love. The Chainsmokers are getting amazing remixes of them dished out by the dozens. Jenuax is another to add to your list!
DeBoer – Coming For You (Original Mix)
DeBoer experimentalism mixed with mid-tempo is ear-catching. This tune was a random find, but jumped out at me due to its simplicity as well as guitar work. This isnt the first tune DeBoer added some sick guitar sounds to, the dude has over 25K and continues to crush.
