Here at WRR, we want to give you the best of everything, whether it be through electronic music, news, festival info, giveaways or the like. Genre’s are old school, so we’ve created a series that doesn’t highlight a certain genre but a certain mood. Check out our “Powerful Picks Of The Week” below.
Galavant feat. Mary Jane Smith – World Of Dreams (5 & A Dime Remix)
The mashup king 5 & A Dime has been picking up the pace when it comes to originals and remixes lately. This time, 5 & A Dime takes on Galavant’s “World Of Dreams” adding huge new electro house drops as well as subtle effects that give the track a noticeably more full sound.
Stonebank – Step Up (feat. Whizzkid)
Stonebank outdoes himself with “Step Up,” combining super-fresh hip-hop verses atop a raw, dark electro beat. Stonebank maintains a similar eery theme throughout, but somehow conveys “Step Up” as what it is: an extremely distinct, well-constructed, and original sound given it’s genre.
Skrillex & Diplo Ft. G – Dragon & CL – Dirty Vibe (DJ Snake Remix)
It’s been heard across a handful of sets over the course of 2014, “Dirty Vibe (DJ Snake Remix.)” The Soundcloud channel NEW SHIT leaked the track, giving the world a first listen at the hyper-intense sound DJ Snake delivers via this highly anticipated remix.
Rihanna – Rudeboy (AObeats Flip)
Underrated up-and-comer AObeats turns Rihanna’s “Rudeboy” into an incredible array of catchy drums, chill keyboards, and sick samples. The bubbly melody during the bridge and ending sections sends tingles down the spine. AObeats’ sound is apart of a new generation of electronic music and producers, showing off a more chill side of EDM that will most likely be hitting the main stage in coming years.
Revolvr & Genisis feat. Splitbreed – Unstoppable (Aero Chord Remix)
The mastermind behind the groundbreaking remix of SCNDL’s “The Munsta” is showcasing his skills again via Revolvr & Genesis’ “Unstoppable.” Originally featuring a powerful Foreign Beggars UK hip-hop/electro-like sound Aero Chord flips “Unstoppable,” adding much needed 808 and trap elements to the beat.
Henry Fong & J-Trick – Scream
WRR has always supported Henry Fong through his hit “Stand Up” and beyond. Henry Fong and J-Trick had the honor of releasing “Scream” through Tiesto’s label “Musical Freedom,” a big-room anthem with progressive and trance elements displayed throughout.
Viceroy – The Life ft. Penguin Prison (SteLouse edition)
Very talented underground producer SteLouse seemingly fuses all genres in his edit of Viceroy’s “The Life ft. Penguin Prison.” If the arpeggios don’t get you the super trippy drop will, SteLouse’s edit is extremely original and very entertaining.
