This week’s powerful picks contain a variety of producers who are pushing the envelop on what heavy bass can mean. We have everything from weird space bangers, to euphoric melodic heavy hitters. No matter what your tastes there’s something here for you, so crank up this week’s Powerful Picks!!
Space Jesus & PROKO – Saturn’s Moon
Fans of Space Jesus have been waiting for this one for a while now, and thankfully it goes off just as hard in headphones as on a huge festival system. The minimalist collab is filled with metallic sounds and heavy drums compiled in an off-kiltered groove
Azus – Outer Space
With “Outer Space” Azus takes things in a more uplifting direction. Combining welcoming piano melodies with fat drums and a simple vocal sample, the producer leads into a minimalist drop that hits super hard while remaining super clean.
Illenium – Afterlife feat. Echos (Dabin Remix)
This is a combination where the title almost says it all. Illenium lets Dabin officially remix his song “Afterlife feat. Echos” – basically an all-star, up-and-comer combination – if that makes any sense, coming together to form one hell of a release. This isn’t a track that is flipped on it’s head, it’s a single that was expanded and enhanced by Dabin’s talents, adding a fun, experimental, but fitting edge to the introverted, melancholy original. That second drop goes off tho.
Jumpa – Wasted feat. Ilira
“Wasted feat. Ilira” showcases Jumpa taking the abstract trap game by storm. His original is a banger without a double, but in a pixelated, futuristic-themed manner, that totally works. Jumpa has solid branding, sound, and has releases on prestigious labels such as Ivory Oasis. His gradual exposure over time is setting him up for a sweet 2017.
Egzod & Imagin8 – Focus
Egzod & Imagin8 are two young producers who are continuously pushing the envelope of music. This time around the two teamed up to deliver a heavy hit, combing their two distinct sounds into one awe-inspiring track. With Egzod’s signature world bass tone and Imagin8’s notable elements, “Focus” will captivate and bewitch music lovers, welcoming you into an atmosphere far away from home.
Lil Texas x Yung Satan – Private Yacht
Coming in hot with another collab is Lil Texas, this time bringing Yung Satan on board. “Private Yacht”, which was premiered on NEST HQ, will leave you with a bubbly, nostalgic feeling from each synth and vocal cut. Get ready to sail the seas in luxury, while this future hit takes you away to paradise!
Krafty Kuts & Dynamite MC – The War Is Over
Krafty Kuts, the international performer and Dynamite MC are here to bring peace. “The War Is Over”, featuring three different vocalists, is an upbeat hip-hop tune that will bring an explosive energy. Good luck sitting still while this fast-paced track is playing!
ROZIN – Wuburger
Wuburger starts it off right with a fast paced synth pattern that leads perfectly into big brass and swag-tastic rap vocals. The track as a whole carries this feel almost like an old horror movie, or a cheesy music video from the 80s, but the heavy bass and weird filler sounds in the drop bring it back around to modern times.
Shoe Scene – Currents
In the completely euphoric “Currents” Shoe Scene creates a world that the listener can clearly envision in their mind’s eye. The huge saws in the drop play rhythmically off a variety of vocal samples to create an immersive blanket of sound that makes the listener feel as if they are dancing on a cloud.
