Gracing Never Say Die’s Black Label with yet another banger, EH!DE & Krimer absolutely SMASH their new tune “Fock It”. The two producers attack the listener with ferocious drums and sound design that is incredibly fresh, and unbelievably heavy. The minimalism in the tune is amazing, almost nothing leads into the drop between some arpeggios, which also add some tasteful melody on top of the tune’s speaker shaking basses.
Tha Trickaz – Hood Bodega
The best songs are those that create their own world, and that is exactly what Tha Trickaz achieve with their new tune “Hood Bodega”. The song’s intro creates atmosphere with a captivating melody surrounded by lush pads, which is soon joined by massive brass stabs, building into a drop that contains its own heavy bass melody. The best thing about the tune is all the small intricacies that keep it interesting from start to finish. In one last hurrah the duo speeds the song up, making it a perfect transition track for any DJ performance.
Kermode & Monad Moon – Tribes
This tune is all about rhythm, specifically tribal rhythms. The tunes deep 808s mix seamlessly with other percussion and a couple chilling vocal chop melodies. Couple that with a killer progression climaxing in a massive second drop and you get one monster, yet spiritual tune.
PhaseOne – Origins
In the title track of PhaseOne’s newest EP the producer pays homage to the metal roots that many dubstep lovers grew from, masterfully gelling the two styles. A chilling atmosphere is interrupted by heavy guitars and natural sounding drums, which is masterfully taken over by a drop that assaults the listener with a captivating bass groove, completed by expert sound design that evolves over time.
