If you’re into hard hitting bass and captivating melodies, no matter the genre, this is the place for you! Crank up those speakers, get your dancing shoes on, and get ready for this week’s POWERFUL PICKS!!!
Borgeous & MORTEN – Hold Up
MYRNE – Afterdark
There are few artists that can push the envelope forward with a single song, sounding clearly different that those in the same sub-genre scene, yet the singapore native MYRNE has done just this with his Monstercat single “Afterdark”. The single combines future bass elements with the chillness of Zhu, planting a seed where a new world of sound could potentially be grown.
Cherney & Baron Fields – All We Have
In his new collab with Baron Fieldsk, Cherney really focused on getting out of his comfort and trying something new. A beautiful yet tense guitar part is joined by the captivating and emotion filled vocals of Ms. Fields, leading into a euphoric future bass drop. With the second drop the song gets more heavy and ominous, chilling the listener’s blood with off-kilter melodies and terrifying sound design.
Orbiter – Want You
Had to share two Monstercat releases this week as they each impressed in their own super unique way. Hands down, the art on “Want You” is the best I have seen all year, will leave it at that. The mixture of electro, glitch, and a splash of dreamy production elements makes rising artist Orbiter more than a standout artist. Can’t wait to hear more from this new act.
Dirty Audio & Jupe – Down Under
DOMI – Svdoku
Zebulon – Take Us There
In this masterpiece of a sonic painting Zebulon takes us to space with mystical melodies, immersive pads and tasteful vocal samples. The drop itself is intense enough to make you want to dance, but also contains enough character to really create an image or story in your mind. That second part of the drop expands on the theme, stealing the show with metallic sound design and a subtle new editions in melody.
