If you’re ready to turn up with the best of them, crank up those speakers and get ready for this week’s POWERFUL PICKS!
Eprom – Pineapple
The title track of Eprom’s newest EP is just as weird and wonderful as we have come to expect from the bass producer. Massively distorted 808s take center stage, laying down the foundation for a trippy synth line that will have you feeling like you’re in another dimension. The song’s theme is pretty consistent throughout, but all the small changes and details really help bring the track alive from start to finish.
Pasdat – Swishers
Roll one up for Pasdat’s newest blunt-themed banger “Swishers”! The track’s intro may be a bit minimal, but that just provides the perfect contrast for the hard hitting and brain-wrinkling drop that follows. Every synth, bass, and sample is so carefully crafted, gelling together to create an immersive trap experience that feels different than a lot of the stuff out there.
Zomboy – Rotten Ft. Bok Nero
After his huge EP “Neon Grave”, Zomboy is back with his latest single “Rotten” on Never Say Die Records. This massive bass track will scream the sound of the artist we all know and love. Zomboy has also officially kicked off his “Rott N’ Roll” tour, so make sure to be on the lookout for dates near you!
Big Sean – Bounce Back (LOLO BX Booty)
This flip of Big Sean’s popular single gives the song new life with a re-enforced bassline and some fresh new drums, all before leading into an off-kilter, but captivating drop. As the song continues new elements are added, making it a joy to listen to all the way through.
FIASKO – Stoked For You
Fiasko’s newest hit is an exciting four to the floor banger that perfectly maintains a high energy level with a bassline that just won’t quit! The sound design in this song is minimal, but compelling; each element finds its own space, creating one grooving track!
Survivor – Eye of the Tiger (Ralph Cowell & Maydro Festival Remix)
Like many festival remixes, you kind of know what to expect from this killer Eye of the Tiger flip. Still, the infectious vocals of the original song blend really well with modern electronic elements, and the new synth melodies provide some nice contrast to the vocal melody that we have all grown to love over the years. This will definitely be a heavy hitter in the festival circuit this year!
Nitti Gritti – Too Much
Saving perhaps the best for last, we’ll finish things off with the newest tune from Nitti Gritti. This song features heavy hip-hop influence, masterfully blending the trap sound with some compelling future bass drops. The vocals on this track are infectious and emotion-filled, really making the song stir up some feelings deep inside the listener. The song even features a nice vocal bridge before leading back into the second drop!
DJ Snake – Pigalle (4B Remix)
The Jersey king, 4B, is back with another remix and this time of the legend DJ Snake. You can expect a quick and bouncing feel that will get any crowd moving on his take of “Pigalle” off of “Encore”. With quick vocal chops and resonant synths, this remix is one that will be found in plenty of high energy festival sets this season.
