It’s time for a serious bass injection into your week with your friendly neighborhood blog. From the notorious Black Label to Circus Records and everything in between, we have something for everyone. Kick back, crank the speakers, and get ready for our hand-crafted selection – this is Powerful Picks.
Crizzly X YDG – Knocked Out
Kicking things off on a high gear is Crizzly and YDG with their new collab out on Circus Records. “Knocked Out” features a high energy drop with plenty of wobbles and bass lines to keep you moving. Whether you’re nodding your head to the tempo or riding the rails, one thing that is certain is you won’t be standing still.
Delta Heavy – Exodus
Back on the powerhouse label, Monstercat is Delta Heavy with their most recent track “Exodus”. If you’re looking for a pure bass track with slamming percussions and gritty leads then look no further. Between the filthy synth work and multiple drop switches, you’ll be throwing this one on repeat all week.
Figure – Heartbeat of Hell EP
Out on the notorious Black Label from Never Say Die is Figure with his four-track EP Heartbeat of Hell. You can expect to be thrown into a world of dark bass loaded with high caliber tunes and striking drums. Hi I’m Ghost even hopped on “Fe Fi Fo Fum” to help push the envelope further and introduce some ghastly elements!
JINCO – Haven’t Said (VOVIII Remix)
If you were a fan of JINCO’s “Haven’t Said” then VOVIII’s remix is the perfect touch to bring the track back to life and help make it more suited for trap fans. While their remix still pays homage to the original with the vocals being left intact, the drops will leave you wanting more as their smooth vocal chops and blaring brass horns take over. The Boston duo continues to showcase their ever-rising production skills and surprise us with each release!
Tyro – Overtime EP
Closing us out this week is the Denver based artist Tyro who is here to showcase his release on Warpaint Records. His Overtime EP is one that may only consist of two-tracks but packs a serious punch in each tune on the album. While “Overtime” keeps things moving with its quick dubstep feel, “Gunk” is surely the filth you’ve been looking for!
