Heads up, the inner emo fans may want to prepare themselves for a feature from Asking Alexandria. Kick back, crank the speakers, and get ready for our hand-crafted selection – this is Powerful Picks.
SLANDER & Crankdat – Kneel Before Me (feat. Asking Alexandria)
Stepping up to the plate first is SLANDER and Crankdat’s long-awaited collab “Kneel Before Me,” with no other than Asking Alexandria. Some may say that this is Not The American Average bass track, but for any emo fan gone EDM, this is a serious tug on the heartstrings. From the brutal bass drops to the shrilling vocals, if anything is certain it’s that you won’t want to miss out on this festival anthem.
Dirtyphonics – Sayonara
Next up, we have a new release from Monstercat coming your way that will surely get the rail moving and crowd rowdy. “Sayonara” from Dirtyphonics is a dubstep masterpiece that pushes the envelope with sound design and gets the bass pumping. With slamming percussions and eerie vocals present throughout the entire tune, the only person saying sayonara may be you to your necks.
NGHTMRE & WAVEDASH – Grave
If there’s any collab we’ve been waiting on, it’s probably NGHTMRE and the OWSLA trio WAVEDASH. They two have teamed up to deliver “Grave” on Diplo’s imprint Mad Decent. You can expect to find drops of every style packed into this lengthy tune, alongside synth work that is nothing less than what you’d expect from the genre-defying artists.
SPAG HEDDY – Bass Claws
I hope you’re hungry because SPAG HEDDY is bringing the sauce your way with his latest release “Bass Claws” on Buygore. This track features some seriously melodic tunes and helps lead up to one unexpected drop that will throw you into a world of darkness. A jovial verse and gloomy chorus couldn’t have been paired together in a better way.
LUUDE – Omen
Taking things over to a different side of the globe and bass spectrum is Australian artist LUUDE with his new record “Omen.” This electro track features crisp bass lines and a drop that will leave you more than satisfied with its addicting melody. Regardless if you’re a fan of electro or not, it’s hard to not be a fan of this unique tune!
BROHUG – Be Somebody
Everyone’s favorite Swedish house trio is back with their latest tune “Be Somebody.” BROHUG has teamed up with Tiesto’s imprint Musical Freedom this time around to deliver a bass house track that will get you in the mood with feel-good vocals and a dark drop. There’s plenty of melodic content to go around in this one!
Eprom & ZEKE BEATS – Humanoid 2.0
Closing us out this week is Eprom and ZEKE BEATS collab “Humanoid 2.0” out on Noisia’s Division Recordings. This computer take over is one way to inject some serious bass into your life. With heavier than life vocoders and retro sounding synth design, you might be calling on Sarah Connor to come and save you.
