Powerful Picks seeks to bring you the best of this week’s energetic, powerful, and epic tunes. From trap to big-room – if it’s good, it makes it. I had a ton of submissions, but can confirm that many them were of lit quality. Enjoy below.
Pierce Fulton & Puppet – Boy and the Beast
Wow. Pierce said “I challenge you to work with me on something in a minor key” to Puppet, and this tune was born. The theatrical elements of this tune are surreal. The personal touches captivate the listener and create stunning imagery. Would love to see an EP come from these two.
San Holo – Can’t Forget You (ft. The Nicholas)
San Holo knows how to make a sound that’s futur af, “Can’t Forget You” pushes the limit of trap/future music, but also layers an extremely touching vocal part from the likes of The Nicholas. San Holo can do no wrong.

LAXX & Brillz – Destruktion
Easily making it one of the heaviest track on the list Laxx’s Twitch Pt. 2 EP is full of raw intensity, power, and boundry pushing productions that make the ground shake. My favorite off the EP was “Destruktion,” a collaberation with Brillz.
Botnek & I See MONSTAS – Deeper Love
Botnek makes a much more traditional bass tune, focusing on the genre of dnb, via “Deeper Love,” which fittingly released on Monstercat Records. The vocal samples are out of this world, making this collaberation a powerful one.
A-Trak – We All Fall Down (desTroy Remix)
Explosive old-school horn notes hitting hard throughout, “We All Fall Down (desTroy Remix)” takes ceativity to a whole new level. A strong disco feel and a positive vibe come together to form something I’m sure A-Trak would approve of.
Dropout – You Always Win
What is this gold that hath touched my ear? Big Beat has a record (no pun intended) of signing dance-pop producers at the perfect time. “You Always Win” by Dropout is one of the best tracks I’ve heard all year. Their sound instantly struck me as a more chill, more evolved Galantis – can’t wait to hear what is next.

Panic City – Up All Night (feat. Reid Stefan & Mike Taylor)
Panic City has released his debut EP via Dim Mak records. The EP is full of life throughout, but it was “Up All Night” that truly caught my attention. The drop is complex, melodic, and flat-out entertaining to endure. UP All Night EP is a surprisingly eclectic set of tunes.
