The Powerful Picks from this week bring us all over, as far as genres are concerned. From hip-hop based tracks to glitch-hop, there will be a diverse enough selection to satisfy everyones taste. Check out the playlist below and dive in to this weeks Powerful Picks!
Desiigner – Panda (Crankdat / Hearts / Nati Remix)
This is definitely one of the top remixes of the hot hip-hop track right now. Crankdat teamed up with Hearts and Nati to flip “Panda” and bring it into the bass scene. This heavy hitting remix has a drop as catchy as the vocals and makes the verses hit hard.
LUMBERJVCK – Pantheon, House of the Gods ft. LVNKY
LUMBERJVCK brought forth a true work of grime and filth on this one. The dark hip-hop vocals pair perfectly with the overall feel of the track and brings forth a dark atmosphere. As you’re immersed in the track and amazing sound design, the drop will come up and take you by surprise.
TastyTreat – My Crew Ft. Malcolm Anthony
Buygore is back again with another huge release on the label. This time, TastyTreat paired up with Malcolm Anthony to give us the perfect vocals on the trap track. “My Crew” will take you through a few different styles of hip-hop before building up to a drop that will get you moving. If the vocals sound familiar to you, then you probably know Malcolm from the group K Theory.
BRLY LGL – Back It Up
If you enjoy trap tunes with the perfect touch of adult sounds, then BRLY LGL will help satisfy all your needs. The duo is back at it again with another heavy bass track. They also seem to be paying homage to Conor McGregor by having him as a feature
Booyah Riot – Taste Desire
Booyah Riot gives us a more vocal heavy track that will still bring you the powerful drop you’re looking for. This dance track will have you grooving to the beat as the smooth vocals of Lorela memorize you and get you lost in the record. The drop continues to use her vocals, as the chopped melody adds on to the song to keep you moving.
Willdabeast – Stay The Course [Kaptain Remix]
Kaptain has been capturing my heart lately. I’m a sucker for rock riffs being fittingly tossed into electronic songs in 2016. “Stay The Course [Kaptain Remix]” contains this on top of a glitch-hop core. If you like a little funk in your music, look no further.
Tony Sour – Sour Patch Bounce (No Funks Given Remix)
No Funks Given is best described as minimal bass music. “Sour Patch Bounce (No Funks Given Remix)” is another extension of this sound. No Funks Given touches on hip hop beyond just their trap percussion elements – a vibe that I could keep digging on. Keep an eye on them for future releases out soon.
Dada Life- Rolling Stones T-Shirt (DUDEnGUY Remix)
DUDEnGUY’s remix of “Rolling Stones T-shirt” takes this classic electro track and, come the first drop, douses it in hard hitting dubstep and bass giving it that signature DUDEnGuy sound. These guys know how to keep a tracks underlying sounds while adding their own personal twist and this harder version is pleasantly catchy.
