Wolf-e-Wolf – Bad Boi Sound
This track from Wolf-e-Wolf’s new EP is a unique trap banger that, in the producer’s typical fashion, combines cinematic elements with wonky, off beat bass. The brass hits in this track hit super hard, but at the same time don’t cover up the kick or make the other elements feel too weak, everything is balanced, and everything is AWESOME.
The Black Eyed Peas- Rock That Body (Crankdat Remix)
Crankdat is one of the few artists that you can always expect a great remix from. His touch on “Rock That Body” leaves this timeless hit with a bass packed drop, good enough for any heavy set. Along with a unique remix of this classic is his huge sound design infused within the tune. It’s easy to tell when he has given any track his signature re-crank.
Callie Rieff & Dapp – Wobble (We’re Not Friends Remix)
While both Wolf-e-Wolf’s tracks claim to be bad boys, We’re Not Friend’s remix of Wobble is way more sporadic and hard hitting than the previous track. While the intro has a pretty simplistic melody, the drops are jam packed with a variety sounds, all the while jumping back and forth between trap and dubstep stylings, making it so that the only consistency is the high level of energy and intensity.
Kovalenco Gennadi – Luca Rezza – Got My
“Got My” takes Jersey club, hard trap, and a dose of unexplainable insanity to form the banger experience that it is. Both Kovalenco Gennadi and Luca Rezza are up-and-comers focusing on the new sounds 2016 has been giving us. Given Uprise is now under their belt, I’d keep an eye on these two.
iso:R & Igor Graphite – Riot City
There is not much of a buildup in this track, just an atmospheric and creepy intro that immediately throws you into an intense glitch hop track that throws a catchy melody over complex and hard hitting bass sounds. The two producer’s use of strings and guitar in the buildups contrast nicely with the super dense and synthesized drops. Perhaps the best part, however, is when the tune drops into halftime while featuring a haunting melody that chills us to our bones.
Synclan – Era
There is something to say for having the ability to write fast and catchy melodies that don’t sound over done, and that is exactly what Synclan achieves with this track. While the melody sounds nice in the intro, it does its best work during the drop when it fits itself around the heavy bass sounds. While the bass in this track may sound a tad bit typical, the variety and melodic aspects make up for it.
Eprom & G Jones – Warrior
Two of the weirdest producers in the game teamed up on Eprom’s newest EP to bring you “Warrior”, a hard hitting track whose’s drop contrasts the intro almost completely. Despite this the grimy, evolving bass and vocal samples fit perfectly with the strange and wonky intro. This is a track that will throw the crowd for a loop anytime it is dropped in a live set.
Falcons & Ekali – I Won’t Lie (Ft. Vanessa Elisha) [High Zombie Remix]
Brass stabs make a track better every time, and this remix of Falcons & Ekali is no different. The simplistic drop builds upon the deep and atmospheric intro by maintaining the kind of vibe, while adding new elements such as a lead synth, brass, sound effects, and the chopped up vocals of Vanessa Elisha.
