Finally, Pretty Lights has announced his 2012 Tour, titled “The Illumination Tour 2012” set for this Autumn. AKA Derrick Vincent Smith, Pretty Lights encompasses all that is beautiful about electronic music. You can expect the Colorado native to drop a full set of groovy electrosoulhiphop original production matched with second to none visual elements – thanks to The Lazer Shark (Greg Ellis).
The tour will span across 50+ cities from coast to coast beginning with stops in Canada before his massive two night show on his home turf at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Also included is a stop at Marquee Nightclub in Vegas, which is clearly a testament to the man himself and his popularity as an artist. For those not familiar, Marquee tends to cater more towards your progressive/ club house and electro sound in regards to its bookings.
Our team will be catching more than a few of these dates along the way. Put us down for Red Rocks, Charlottesville, Va, Electric Zoo, and Counterpoint Music Festival. I’ve watched the progression of Pretty Lights’ production over the years and am beyond excited to see what kind of new visuals he brings to this tour. Now if we could just get a full new EP :).
