God damnit – I sure love me some Pretty Lights … I know this post is well overdue but… still this video and track are well deserving of your short attention span. Pretty Lights gets ultra tricky with this remix, which will be featured in the upcoming release of EA’s SSX Tricky. Tricky isn’t it?!?
Stomping into his usual realm of hip-hop sampling – using classic hip-hop legends Run DMC – he craftily mixes the vocals perfectly into this trip-hop, kind of dubby and dark remix. I really like where Pretty Lights is going with his sound and his own direction with dubstep (such as with “I Know the Truth“) and I am excited to see where he takes it in the future and with his newest album. I am sure it will be entirely new and different sounding compared to the older PL albums – but will still hold true to his original production elements.
