Pretty Lights announced today that a pay-per-view showing of their performance at the Bill Graham Civic Center in San Francisco on November 30th will be available to purchase for those who wish to watch the show but cannot attend. This is a massive move by Derek Vincent Smith and company, following in the footsteps of other jam bands who have been doing this for quite some time (known as “couch tour”). At the same time, this allows fans of Pretty Lights to catch the pay-per-view show without having to travel or actually be there.
With many comparisons being made to the new Pretty Lights band as a “jam band”, it’s only a matter of time before the Pretty Lights camp would start going this route. The live performance of this band has become the epitome of Pretty Lights, and one can only imagine what the future holds for this innovative group of musicians. Be on the lookout for this pay-per-view, and live album from the Pretty Lights band, and Pretty Lights’ ‘A Color Map of the Sun’ remix album, all out soon.
