This collaborative effort of Prince Paris and MiNDTRiX results in an energetic future-pop track flush with emotional progressions and soaring vocals courtesy of Amanda Fondell. The lyrical theme of “My Position” precariously rests between ambivalence and spontaneity, looking toward an unforeseeable future, however, the uplifting nature of the music offers a hopeful tone. The release, with each chord and nuance, has plenty of attention grabbing moments fans will resonate with.
The duo formerly known as Paris & Simo have recently undergone a branding overhaul and now operate as Prince Paris, with Paris as the primary performer and Simo at the helm of the production. They rose to notoriety with their collaboration with 3LAU in 2012, and have continued to climb toward bigger and better things.
MiNDTRiX, comprised of Marc Raziano and Joey Warner, launched their debut single early this year, which quickly accumulated over a million streams right off the bat. Following a slew of subsequent releases through labels such as BID/Strange Fruits and Tipsy records, the duo went on to open for Party Thieves’ “Grand Theft Army” tour this past spring.
