We are 19 days away from the inaugural Project GLOW festival in Washington, DC at the RFK Festival Grounds. The dates are set, the lineup is fire, and the pre and after parties are locked and loaded. What else is there to do? Plan your artist attendance of course! While we don’t have the times yet, we need to immerse ourselves with all of the amazing artists that we’re ready to see! Today, we take a look at Westend.
NYC native Tyler Morris, also known as Westend, grew up in the Bronx, and attended The Bronx High School of Science, the same school that Robert Moog, the inventor of the first commercial synthesizer, the Moog synthesizer in 1984, attended. The spirits of his school must have been absorbed, because Tyler has been interested in electronic music since he was young.
Tyler’s breakout year was in 2018, picking up steam with numerous tracks and collabs on Box of Cats, Country Club Disco and others with other artists including Steve Darko, Bruno, Kyle Watson, and other Dirtybird players that we all know and love.
Checking out Westend’s top tracks above, you’ll notice that he’s a vocal wizard, sampling catchy and popular tracks that we all know and love, giving them a new life, a tech house life. “Get This Party Started,” “Jumpin’,” & “Lollipop” are just a few tracks that’ll get you going with some of the catchiest vocals.
If you’re as sold as we are, mark Westend down for Project GLOW and check out some of our favorite sets from Westend to understand his festival vibe that’ll send you.
Tickets are still available, so grab them here now! We’ll see all of your beautiful Headliners at the RFK Festival Grounds in Washington, DC!
