After previous EPs Abandon, New Order and Heresy labeled Pythius as a genius of his genre, the producer has recently unveiled his first album, which consists of 12 tracks. Descend has been a work in progress for quite a while now and is definitely showcasing the hard work and sound renewing that went into its creation. Featuring metal and neurofunk influences, the album is taking a new approach to what we know as drum and bass while still keeping close to the original Pythius we’ve heard and loved before.
Descend is sure to bring you the dose of bass and drums you need this spring, the artist’s touch proving once more the meticulous work he put into each and every track. If you’re hoping to catch Pythius on the dance floor this summer you’ll have plenty of chances. The Dutchman will be performing across Europe this year, with stops in the Netherlands, Germany, UK, France, Romania, Spain and more.
