I’m super proud of the project as it represents my evolution as a music producer.

RR: How did the idea for the music video come together for “No Excuses?”
RF: The idea for the music video came from the label manager at Disco Wax Music, they have
been working with the insanely talented videographer Morgan Oliver-Allen before and they
introduced his work to me. The first moment I saw his work it completely blew my socks off.
I just had to work with him, it felt like the right fit for the song!
RR: What does the general process of working on music look like for you?
RF: To be real honest I’m not the type of producer that only works when he feels a moment of
inspiration hitting him. For me, it means hitting the studio on a daily basis, coming up with
loads of ideas, and seeing which of them actually stick and get to see the light of day.
Whenever I finish a song idea, I step away from it for a few days to reset my mind. After
that, I listen to it again to see if I’m still pumped about it and if I am I’ll send it out! I do get
song ideas at the craziest moments, it could be in the middle of the night or whenever
I’m out with friends or family.
RR: How long have you been a DJ/producer for?
RF: I have been a full-time DJ and producer since 2012, however, I have been interested in music
and music production for many years. I think I did my first DJ gig when I was 16 and finished
my first song when I was 21. Back then I just played at high school parties with friends, we
were a bunch of careless kids fooling around; those were the days!
RR: What would you say are the greatest changes you have seen in dance music since you’ve
been focusing on it?
RF: I guess the biggest change I experienced is the fact that this industry has grown so insanely
big nowadays. It has become a billion-dollar industry that 15 years ago we couldn’t have
imagined happening. I think it’s amazing to see that dance music is hitting pretty much every
spot on the globe at the moment!
RR: What do you do when you’re not DJing/producing?
RF: The few rare days where I am off, I try to spend with my girl enjoying the city of New York where we recently moved to. There is so much to see and do here!
RR: Do you have any tours or shows coming up? What was your favorite place to play so far?
RF: Yes! We are working on a tour in Asia as we speak. The dates need to be confirmed but it’s going to
be exciting for sure!
RR: Do you have anything you’re particularly excited about for the rest of the year?
RF: Absolutely, there is a lot of new music coming your way soon which I can’t wait to share with
you guys! I’ll share a small hint, there’s a special remix of No Excuses soon to be released!
