The feeling of home and acceptance you get while at a music festival is a unique feeling not found anywhere else. You are surrounded by people who enjoy the same type of music, and for a few days, you forget the differences that otherwise separate us. Here at Raverrafting.com we only cover things going on in the Electronic Dance Music world, however we support and celebrate the sanctity of any music festival whether it be Electronic Dance Music or Country.
Last night during the Route 91 Harvest Festival in the middle of Jason Aldean’s set a gunman opened fire on the crowd from his room in the Mandalay Bay. This is not only a tragedy in the music scene, but a tragedy for the U.S. and the world. A place where people unite in the sounds of their favorite artists was violated, and our hearts go out to not only the over 400 people injured, but the thousands of people who will now have a hard time feeling safe at any event they now attend. Las Vegas is not only the home of this festival but multiple festivals throughout the course of the year including EDC. The shooter has violated our home, so at this time lets not bring fame to his name, let us make this about the memory of the people who died in a place they felt impervious.
The moment to band together, even more, is now! Music has always been a way for people to unite, whether it is to provide relief, celebrate a holiday, or to escape the monotony of daily life. Raverrafting.com opens its hearts and its arms today to provide our sincerest condolences to everyone affected by this terrible event.
