Starting with Le Youth’s “I Could Always” featuring MDNR, this week’s playlist is full of bouncy, bubbly party beats, mixing nostalgic transitions with contemporary production.
Drezo’s “Night” is a complete parallel to the first track and beckons a more suspenseful mood, evoking a darker side of dance music and we’ll be honest with you, it gets a little weird, but in a good way.
With similar synths as the Drezo track, CID’s “I Miss You” is a classic lyrical track perfect for getting down on the dancefloor with your friends, while Brett Gould’s “Drum Machine” has a faster tempo and leaves you questioning the lyrics. Is he really saying “aubergine” throughout the entire track?
Victor Ruiz’s remix of Oliver Giacomotto’s “Bipolar Star” carries with it that slap that all techno fans love and at an even faster pace, the tinny nature of the track for those industrial European venues, so get ready for this to be played all over the place in summer 2018.
Paolo Martini’s “Bad Pitch” has more of a disco vibe while Pirupa’s “Wazzup” takes the track to a more atmospheric place. A range of dance-y tracks here for you, with the addition of Boys Noize and Virgil Abloh’s “Orvnge”.
