Friends, welcome aboard the refurbished RaverRaftingRadio – new voice, same great taste. In the words of great philosopher Jay-Z, please allow me to introduce myself: my name is Caroline! I’ll be with you all summer long, hitting up your favorite festivals and talking to all kinds of members of the good vibe tribe family. The WRR crew and I have big things planned for your ears in the next coming months, so watch this space for exclusive artist mixes and festival preview picks.
This week RRR takes to the Empire Polo Grounds lineup to bring you the best of Coachella. The WRR editors and I whipped up a choice mini mix for the start of your day on the campground.
In its sixteenth year, Coachella provides a cultural crossroads of indie, dance and rock, and is likely the tastemaking event of festival season. This year’s lineup has a heavy electronic presence that caught our eye, especially in the finer print. Gone are the days when the once small Sahara Tent had exclusive rights to electro producers and bass music. For 2015, electronic artists can be seen across all six stages on each of the three days. A lineup as huge as Coachella’s takes some navigating, so check out our picks for the ultimate road trip playlist out to the Indio desert – or if you’re at home this year, for your living room dance party.
Looking forward to hanging out on the line with you funky people – stay tuned. Let’s dance.
