Wisconsin fans rejoiced on April 10 when news broke that Kaskade will be stopping at Oak Lounge in Milwaukee on May 16 to spin a very intimate set. It is a huge honor that Milwaukee is one of the twelve cities chosen to host Redux and fans showed their appreciation by selling out the 250-capacity venue within an hour. Tickets were only $30. Redux is all about taking the “mainstream” out of electronic music and taking it back to its underground roots. Oak will turn the LED walls off for the night, shutdown VIP/bottle service, and leave the Co2 tanks in storage to really solidify the underground ambiance. The set will feature minimal lights/lasers and fog.
This booking is a huge achievement for co-owner Chris Vrakas of React Presents. Within the past two years, Oak Lounge has become one of Wisconsin’s leading venues for the growing electronic music scene. Back in February, Oak booked Grammy winner Cedric Gervais. The future looks very bright for Milwaukee’s leading nightclub.
To celebrate #ReduxMilwaukee, we captured six priceless responses on Twitter:
