Riff Raff, the rapper signed to Diplo’s label Mad Decent is suing the Spring Breakers movie because he believes that the film is based around is life. Basically James Franco’s character Alien is Riff Raff and in some alternate universe and of course this means that he deserves $10 million. Or maybe it’s because the soundtrack was produced by Skrillex instead of someone off of Mad Decent. Either way they both seem like totally legit grounds, this being America and all.
To be honest, I’m actually not friends with any white rappers with cornrows and grills (I’m very open to the idea), but this image provided by badatsports makes it look like more than a coincidence.
Riff Raff might want to just show this picture in court and refuse to speak. If he has to talk, it should just be to raise character questions about James Franco; the Phd candidate at Yale / Harry Osborne / funny stoner in movies that I want to hangout with.
When TMZ caught up with Riff Raff he explained the situation like this,
“It’s like if I have a front yard. And you’re planting soil and you’re planting trees and building peaches and houses and selling parking lots on my property … then I deserve to be compensated for some portion of that money.”
