Each week we spend a few hours sifting through new music in the electronic world. In our search this week we stumbled upon a hidden gem, a guy who is ripping out tracks that are on point with the quality you’d expect from Enhanced Progressive and Anjunabeats. The talented artist in mention is Rigo Avila. In 2019 he debuted releases on highly reputable labels such as Emergent Music, In My Opinion (Armada’s sub label run by Orjan Nelson) and Infrasonic Recordings. With the caliber of tunes he has been releasing we can only wonder how long until he is on top of the charts?
Rigo Avila’s new track and collaboration with Miraks,”Dark Star,” is the latest of his releases. This stellar tune starts with a minute long intro that builds into a drop that is reminiscent of the complextro bass line styles of the early 2010-2015 era, with a breakdown that is euphoric and uplifting. The build is carried by an angelic top lead melody taking us to the drop. It hits with an outstandingly well produced and processed “Wall of Sound” supersaw that checks the perfect criteria for the Trance 2.0 anthem sound.
After the phrase resolves there is a short break leading back into the chunky yet danceable bass line to conclude the song. Stunning work from this artist on the rise!
