As the 20th anniversary of the first Ultra Music Festival approaches, Ultra Worldwide is expanding its reach to all corners of the earth. Australia is the only continent that has not seen an incarnation of the Ultra Music Festival, but that ends on February 24th as the Road To Ultra brings worldwide talent to the Sidney Meyer Music Bowl in Melbourne.
They must have wanted to announce their arrival in style, because Ultra brought big names from all over the world to play. Swedish legends Axwell and Ingrosso have one of the headlining time-slots and can be counted on to deliver an unforgettable set. These former Swedish House Mafia members have performed in front of massive crowds at the flagship festival in Miami, so there’s no better ambassadors to the Ultra brand.
For those looking to scratch their Dirty Dutch itch, Afrojack will be sure to bring the energy. His unique brand of hyper house intermixed with classic progressive sounds are sure to deliver a set that will have everyone dancing.
Ultra isn’t counting on imports alone to make an impression. The lineup is full of both up and coming and established Aussie artists to make sure the concert sounds local. Melbourne Bounce legends Will Sparks and Timmy Trumpet will show off how the city likes it’s music (hard, fast, and slightly offbeat). Meanwhile, rising performers Tigerlily and Mashd N Kutcher will be running the decks back to back to get everybody moving.
The day will be rounded out by the likes of Carnage, KSHMR, Andrew Rayel, and Moe representing a bunch of different genres that can be heard all over the world.
Tickets are going fast, but if you click here you can secure your spot to see history being made and watch as Ultra plants their flag in Australia.
