It’s been 20 years since Steve Aoki, which is ancient in dance music years, launched Dim Mak Records from his USCB college apartment. This power house label has brought us everything from music to fashion to even becoming a lifestyle brand and with over 700 records released from artists such as Ookay, Dirty Audio, Caked Up, Borgore and more in the past 20 years, there’s no doubt this event will bring us some special artists and surprises.
Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world flock to Miami Music Week as the city turns into a dance music capitol and with so many events to choose from there is a sense of competition on who can give the wildest party with the sickest lineup, but Dim Mak Miami has held onto the title of one of the must-see parties. The event took over Nikki Beach last year with Benny Benassi and Borgore and 2014 brought us artists such as Chocolate Puma and The Chainsmokers.
2016’s two decade celebration takes the cake (pun intended) with a lineup that will showcase 25+ past, present and up and coming artists. Two phases of the Nikki Beach takeover have already been announced including 3lau, Autoerotique, Keys N Krates, Rain Man and Steve Aoki himself. Add this stacked event to your calendar, and take part in this once in a lifetime celebration because missing this will ensure you’ll leave Miami with an extra regret.
