Out of the entire cloudhead family, Rob Gasser is one who truly has the potential to be the next Fox Stevenson. The imagery and themes Rob Gasser conveys in Copycat EP are climatic, dynamic, and showcase meaning and soul strictly through an instrumental lens.
Copycat contains two bass tracks, “Palindrome” and “Fireball,” while the ending track teases as if it’s the cliche “soft track at the end of the album,” but is far from it. “The Copycat” is a mid-tempo, highly rhythmic tune that blasts out super-sonic drops and dope bridges like a rocketship. Ironically, Copycat EP is one the most fun, flowing, and original bass EP’s I’ve heard in a while.
