It hasn’t been long since we brought you our exclusive interview with the founders of Kinphonic, Matt Cavender and Tommie Keeston. In case you haven’t heard, Kinphonic is the UK based record label that specializes in everything from bookings to publishing and management to graphic design. Its free releases through KINFREE and exclusive live events have landed it as a staple in the UK electronic scene. Some of the artists currently signed to Kinphonic include Chime, Fox Stevenson, Brig, Sonny Banks, Enzo Bennet, and Xilent. Originally Kinphonic’s releases consisted mainly of dubstep and bass house, however Kinphonic signees now span across multiple genres allowing the label to consistently experiment with new sounds and designs.
In March of 2015 we saw the unleashing of “We Are Kin Vol. 1” that was met with massive reception upon release. It featured tracks from artists like Fox Stevenson, Rob Gasser, Stereoliez, and Tisoki to name a few. Over two years later we are finally about to witness the long-awaited and highly anticipated release of “We Are Kin Vol. 2”. Following suit with Vol 1, this most recent release features tracks from artists like Fox Stevenson, Steroliez, Sonny Banks, High Beggars, and Rob Gasser. Fans were pleased to notice that Vol 2. contains a whopping 13 tracks as opposed to eight on Vol 1. One of the 13 tracks we will be highlighting today is the crushing creation by Rob Gasser, “Hypemachine”.
The nearly four minute instrumental is everything we’d expect from Kinphonic, let alone Gasser. The hard rocking bass will instantly ignite your inner head banging and transform you into full rage mode. Interestingly enough, a slight trap element can be detected in a small portion of the track adding for some spicy variety. If you’re craving some bass to rock your work week into full swing then give Gasser’s skillfully produced production a long listen. Besides, what better way to prepare for hump day?
