In the spring of 2010, three Colorado-based DJ’s combined to form Robotic Pirate Monkey, another one of those great EDM groups that are extremely difficult to categorize. In their short time together they have put out all kinds of diverse, wobblin’ jams. Recently, RPM has been building hype for the upcoming release of Colors in Disguise, set to drop on the 28th of this month.
Rio de Fuego is a free single off of said album which features a shifty bassline and plenty of instrumental samples. If you can guess the classic rock song that is heavily sampled in the background, you get a cookie. (Spoiler!) Anyway:

Music vid of another track from the album, as well as some of my own RPM favorites, after the jump.
10 days ago they released their first official music video of their track Party Animal, also on the upcoming album. Crazy video to go with an equally crazy, shrill, and eerie track; should’ve posted this on Halloween!
Ok, so that’s it for their new stuff, which is in a different direction from what got me listening to them originally (not that I’m complaining). Now, here’s 3 of my favorite RPM tracks of old:
Download Robotic Pirate Monkey Miley is Trippin (rmx ft. Miley Cyrus & Notorious B.I.G.)
Download Robotic Pirate Monkey Jolene (Live Remix ft. Pretty Lights)
Download Robotic Pirate Monkey Mr Brown rmx ft Bob Marley
They’ve also put out a boatload of free, TSiS-sponsored content (here’s one, two, and three releases). Now that I’ve got you up to speed, show ’em some love on fabo and their cleverly-named twitter.
Phew, long-winded post but I hope you enjoyed it. That’ll be all; peace!
