Set for release on May 10th, “mayday” acts as the precursor to ROBY’s eagerly awaited album, “through the mud,” which will make its debut on July 5th.

Previously recognized for his sharp future garage productions, ROBY has shifted to include more vocal-driven tracks, supported by his engaging, relatable lyrics. He first took the stage last year at the Here & Now release party by Tabula Rasa in NYC, where he performed well-received vocal anthems like “Leave Me Behind” and “Plasma Glass.” His sound stands out—featuring vocals set against a boundless backdrop, textured with real-world sounds, and a mixture of deep reese basses and 808s layered over drums that blend organic and synthesized elements.
ROBY’s story began in 2013 when he started experimenting with loops in an online DAW. Although initially more drawn to video editing and graphic design, the pervasive electronic music scene online during that period struck a chord with him, pushing him towards a new creative path. By 2021, his work had attracted attention from electronic music icon deadmau5, who described his output as “soundtrack fire.” Later, ROBY joined The Tabula Rasa Record Company, a niche label that serves as a collective for artists and collaborators like RamonPang, Kelbin, and Kinoteki.
