With a release coming via the Disco:Wax label out of Denmark, this is the brand new debut single from emerging French outfit Royale Avenue. The trio – three friends, including a pair of brothers – write their own songs, produce, and even design and direct their own artwork and videos.
Contemporary yet also being retro at the same time, “The Rhythm Is You” bears all the hallmarks of an act from France: deft electro touches, flashes of disco, soul wrapped up in some pop sensibilities. Mixing live elements with electronic production techniques, Royale Avenue cross genre lines easier than they should for a new act.
