We have been listening to the effortless vocals of Ruben Pol over and over this week. The Amsterdam based singer, songwriter and fashion model has collaborated with the highly esteemed producer Tom Martin for “Meet Again,” which serves as a follow up to “Bedsheets.”
Despite only have broken out earlier this year, Ruben Pol is giving us life with his edgy, romantic sound. Warm strings, quietly pattering electronic murmurs and his breathy tones make “Meet Again,” which has a slow-burning intensity. He says: “Meet Again’ is about a broken relationship and it reflects on the enormous value it still has to me. No matter how much suffering has taken place or how much pain has been done, I’m sure that in the end ‘we’ll meet again’.”
