Run The Trap Volume 8 is a late night Monday special including a few productions I have been meaning to post for you all. This week’s collection kicks off with a remix from Amsterdam’s very own Yellow Claw. The cross-genre mapping trio courted Dirtcaps Hands Up and turned it into a hard trapstyle mix with some eerie downtempo moments.
Dank follows, dropping a proper nod to his city with what he dubs the “NYC trap edit” of his own New York Fuckin’ City. You may find yourself loving the guitar off the bat, but wait until it makes love with a certain bouncy synth that dominates the majority of the track’s latter.
Wrapping up this week’s RTT series is D!RTY AUD!O’s “50 oz EP”, released on Livemixtapes. “50 oz EP” is anchored with more rap influence and lyrical samples than the vast majority of short sample trap which is dominating the surge right now. Prime Track: goes to Ice Cream for it’s massive changes in pace, bubbling energy and the way it defines itself as something that would turn a packed venue upside down. All for FREE>> The way music should be.
