Sacha Robotti Drops “Generator” Off First EP on Newly Launched Label Slothacid [Premiere]

Just as summer is about to cool down, Sacha Robotti is coming in hot with the premiere of “Generator,” one of his last singles off of his new EP Welcome To Slothacid for his newly launched label Slothacid.

While Sacha Robotti’s Welcome To Slothacid offers four massive bangers, “Generator” is by far the darkest, most twisted, and our favorite of the bunch. A gritty, techno-leaning hitter for those who can’t get enough of the after-hours, the track sits in stark contrast to the deeper, more melodic elements found on the rest of the EP. For this reason among others, it’s been getting massive support from players like AC Slater, Claptone, Carl Craig, Billy Kenny, Treasure Fingers and more.

Last month saw the release of the first two singles from the EP, including “Tail Of A Siren” and “‘Forget Tomorrow.” Its third single “Miles From Home” was dropped alongside “Generator” today to complete the package.

To top things off, Welcome To Slothacid marks the official launch of Sacha Robotti’s new label Slothacid.

“Slothacid Rec is a label for me to express my musical creativity on, while retaining creative control and schedule of my own output. I’ve been DJing techno and house music since 1995 and have immersed myself in the subculture ever since. I had the opportunity to DJ in many countries and spread my message worldwide, before moving from Berlin to the West Coast. My spectrum of experiences as a globe-trotting sloth will be reflected by Slothacid. The mission of the label is to bring you music between light and darkness, that takes you on a journey.”

With the premiere of “Generator” and the official launch of his new label and EP, the last big bomb to dropped on us is the announcement of his 25-date North American tour Welcome To Slothacid: An Open To Close Trip. Beginning September 25, he’ll be touching down in cities like Detroit, Austin, Toronto, Miami, Atlanta, and more to be unveiled very soon.
