Sam WOLFE has accomplished a feat that not many artists have experienced with his first release, reaching #1 on Beatport’s Techno list, #1 Overall Release, #6 Techno Hype, and #32 Overall Hype. On top of that, he’s received support from the internationally touring The YellowHeads. The man behind the moniker is Atlanta-based, Sam Wolfe, who fell into the EDM scene hard when he saw his first show at Bourbon Street in hometown Baltimore. Fast forward to 2018, Wolfe started to covet his own foundation to build into his techno project. Inspired by Eric Prydz and Passenger10, Sam WOLFE quickly broke through and landed in our spotlight.
The two track EP, Triangulum, is full of energy, menacing basslines and curious synth work. The title track kicks off with bass that shakes the ribs and we are immediately transported. Also known as a constellation, “Triangulum” puts us into a space odyssey with the melody, giving us some solitary moments alone before dropping us back into the darkness of the void. “Process” surrounds us immediately and can’t help be drawn into the synth climbs down the rabbit hole before we are swallowed whole with just pure evil. With the lyrics, “This is a process”, echoing throughout, and bright flashes of the high hat, the final track is layered to perfection.
