Sammy Adams seems to be a college household name along the east coast. Boston’s boy attacked the party scene with his his early stuff like “I Love College” and “Coast to Coast“. Adams has been mad silent recently and from following him on Twitter I’d say he’s just enjoying life. Not saying he isn’t on the grind, but he is definitely reaping the benefits of his hustle.
In “Blow Up” he retains the roots that he came up with. Great delivery, fun production and beats, solid lyrics, and relatable hooks; All directed towards the younger generation which he is trying to capture. I really like this jam and I will continue to be a Sammy Adams fan. I know Mac Miller get’s a lot of attention lately but I honestly think Adams is superior. The attention Miller gets is, respectably in my opinion, more due to his continuous production and new material.
I hope the kid from Beantown gets back on it and starts putting out regular work. Until then, lick this up.
