Up-and-coming Connecticut producer Scatz dropped his new EP entitled “Celestial Seas” EP, out on MalLabel Music. “Celestial Seas” is a particularly grand adventure due to the distinct nature of each single on the EP. Starting off, “Easy Orange” features a funky glitch-hop vibe, giving you a taste of the talent Scatz has to offer, followed by “Trade My Things For Wings” a single with smooth tempo changes and a vibrant chill-indie mood.
It was at this point I realized how dynamic Scatz’s new EP truly was; conveying a wide of emotions that typically get lost in an electronic LP/EP due to too similar sounding songs.
Next up, “Swick,” a simple, trap-infused beat with odd rhythms and trippy vocal samples. In closing, Scatz shows off “New Vision,” an experimental song that features everything from deep house bass rhythms to adventurous synth melodies. “Celestial Seas” EP is a refreshing experience and is hopefully inspiring big and small DJs to experiment, innovate, and to think different.
