Seven Lions Set to Deliver ‘Worlds Apart’ EP to Accompany First Headlining Tour [Exclusive Interview]

Highly-anticipated and well worth the wait, Seven Lions has finally announced a release date for his second EP, Worlds Apart. This EP was supposed to be released with the debut of his first headlining tour of the same name, but was held up due to complications. Now that it is all settled, the EP is set to be released very soon and we can’t wait.

If you get a chance to see Seven Lions on his current tour, you will be in for a surprise. Since this is his party and gets to do whatever he wants, he brings some incredible new vibes to the club crowd. He plans to “play some things they may not have heard before like some break beats or minimal techno”, and packs tons of high energy tracks beautifully mixed in with emotional and uplifting melodies.

He’s hitting some great venues throughout the U.S., you can get tickets here. You can also catch him at Electric Forest and Burning Man this year, as well as some other festivals that haven’t been announced yet, so make sure to keep an eye out.

We were able to talk to Seven Lions and he gave us some exclusive details about his upcoming EP, Worlds Apart. 

The Sound

“I’ve always kind of done a lot of different stuff. my biggest songs recently were dubstep, but a lot of the new stuff is more four on the floor. There are still dubstep tracks, so I’m not changing my style or anything.”

Three Vocal Tracks, One Instrumental

“On the next EP, Kerli and Ellie Golding are the two vocalists on it, and there’s three vocal tracks and one instrumental. It’ll be four tracks, actually technically five, but “Strangers” will be on it. That’s already out so I don’t really count it. ”

Release Date

“It should have been out already, this tour is the ‘Worlds Apart’ tour and the EP is going to be called Worlds Apart, but I had some trouble with a different label. Now it’s all taken care of, so it’s gonna be released at the very end of this month. Sooner than later, but still not soon enough for me.”

What Fans Can Expect On His New Tour

“Well I get to play some of the new stuff they definitely haven’t heard before and a lot more mash-ups. I’ve been trying to make my sets a little more energetic and more captivating, but still I like to play some things they may not have heard before; like some break beats or minimal techno. At least a little bit to where they’re like “oh shit I haven’t heard that”, that’s what I like to do.”
