After already blessing the Spotify world with a hand selected playlist that is updated monthly by the man himself, Seven Lions is dropping a mix series of the same name, The Observatory. Likewise with the playlist, the mix series will feature songs that Seven Lions might not find fitting to play in his sets, but are equally great tracks he’d like to shed some light on for his adoring fans to fall in love with as well.
The debut mix includes tracks from Lane 8, San Holo, Above & Beyond, Zonder, The M Machine, himself, and many, many more. From old to new Seven Lions, they’re gracefully sprinkled in at just the right moment, achieving the perfect storm of bass and euphoria, no different than a live set he’d play at a sold out show or festival.
Seven Lions had to say about it:
The Observatory Episode 1 is the first in a new mix series from me. Just like the Observatory Spotify playlist, this series allows me to highlight tracks I wouldn’t normally play in my live sets, and explore different sides of my tastes and influences. Hope you enjoy.
The name of the mix is significant to something greater in the Seven Lions universe, to be revealed soon. For now, all we know is that The Observatory is a symbolic place within the world of Seven Lions. Give the mix a listen above, as it is as solid as any other he has put out over the years.
And if you haven’t been able to catch Seven Lions, Kill The Noise, and Tritonal on their Horizon Tour, you can get tickets here for the last remaining dates below.
