It doesn’t come as a shock to many that SFX Entertainment, the industry’s fastest growing and omnipresent promotion company, has just added Made Event to its long list of dance music-related acquisitions. Made Event is best known for being the company behind the noteworthy Electric Zoo, a massive festival in New York City which takes place during Labor Day weekend. In a press release, Made Event has expressed that this move could ultimately result in the expansion of Electric Zoo Festival:
Although Electric Zoo will continue to be developed by the same team that has been on board since it’s inception, being part of something larger provides us with many new opportunities, like exciting technology that will improve the festival experience both online and at our events, creative collaboration with other SFX companies, and bringing Electric Zoo to new locations around the globe.
SFX Entertainment has grown immensely on a global scale in a very short period of time, as they have also recently acquiring Totem OneLove, the company responsible for Stereosonic Festival in Australia.
